What will my first day in Alicante be like?

Timetables in Spain are quite different from the rest of Europe.
Shops are open from Monday to Saturday from 9.00 to 13.30 and from 16.30 to 20.00 h. Large shopping malls and businesses in central areas usually have a continuous schedule from 10 to 21 or 22 h and also open on Sundays and holidays. In coastal areas where there are more tourists, such as Alicante, shops can be open until after 23 h, depending on the season.

Our school opens its doors every morning from Monday to Friday at 8:30 and starts the first class at 9:00. The Elcano Spanish Academy is open uninterruptedly until 19:30 in the afternoon and you can request any information at reception. Our team will be waiting to answer any of your questions.
Museums in the city are usually open every day except for one, (usually on Mondays) with reduced hours in winter and longer during summer periods.

As for lunch times in Spain, breakfast is from 8 to 10 h, while lunch usually goes from 13 to 15.30 h and dinner from 20.30 to 23 h.

As in the shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars usually do continuous hours.

At night, pubs, bars, and nightclubs usually open until 3 or 4 in the morning, although there are also those that stay open until dawn.

Finally, you have to take into account before selecting the starting dates of the course that in Spain there are different local and national holidays. Check the school calendar.
