Last Wednesday, the 4th of May, the students group from Poland finally arrived at the airport and we were waiting for them full of anticipation. 9 Students and her friendly teacher are going to spend 2 whole weeks in Alicante with our language school to get to know better to the typical spanish life during different cultural, gastronomical and sportive activities. Furthermore they will improve and strenghten their language skills in spanish classes during the mornings. We´ve already experienced some amazing excursions the last couple of days!
We´ve climed by foot the well-known Castle of Santa Bárbara and enjoyed the lovely panoramic view of the city Alicante, the mountains and the wide ocean. Furthermore we organised a photograph contest and all the students had to take the perfekt snapshot and in the end we choosed the winner with the best photo. Last Weekend, thanks to the great wheater, we went together to the beach for sportive activities like volleyball, Padel and football.
On Monay, the 9th of May, we started the new week in the best way and arranged a spanish cinema in the afternoon in our school and watched the movie “A cambio de nada”. The following day was culturally influenced. We undertook an excursion to the beautiful University of Alicante, which is well-known for its giant library, the great offer of different courses of studies and the wide campus. Later we went directly to the archaeological museum of Marqs and finished the tour with a visit of the bullfighting arena which also includes a museum of the world-famous bullfighters and their bulls.
Also for the next days we already planned some exciting excursions and activities which we will enjoy to the fullest like this afternoon: a dancing class where we will learn to dance the famous Salsa with a lot of spanish flair! Other activities will be the visit of the Island Tabarca and the little city Villajoyosa and its chocolate factory!
We, the Elcano-Team, are really looking forward to the following days and all the new experiences we will make together with our lovley polish students!
